Griffins Losing Streak Comes to an End

The Grand Rapids Griffins took a 5-1 win over the Utica Comets last night to end their losing streak and get a fresh start.

Pat Nagle, former Ferris State Bulldog, had an incredible 29 saves to help the Griffins get the win and his first AHL victory as well. He played one hell of a game and held strong against the Comets, especially holding all strong 11 shots that came at his in the first period alone.

The Griffins played the entire sixty minutes and held strong against the Comets. Their defense was strategic in helping the shots on goal be a minimum.

Utica is known for their impressive defense but the Griffins excelled in skating around them and connecting all of their passes to make sure they topped their win with the Utica Comets, the number one team in the north division.

Three stars of the game were 1) Nagle 2) Callahan and 3)Zengerle
